About us
nafasiAround the world, millions of children are denied the essential experiences of education simply because their families need their labour to survive.

Nafasi is an organization that is the oeuvre of young, open-minded students from the The Hague University that aspire to more equality in education especially by very young children in Cameroon. As a reaction to the state of mind of African schools, we started Nafasi which means "Opportunities" in the Swahili language.

Nafasi strives to enhance the educational situation of schools in Africa. By building up schools, equipping teachers and students with learning materials and creating cognitive learning spaces, Nafasi hopes to extend the facilities to have a human share of class attendance and to enhance possibilities for a fair education.

How often have you thought that all children should have the opportunity to get meaningful education that isn’t just a drudgery to be endured, but an experience to be cherished? Nafasi strives to translate this dream into reality, to promise children a meaningful education through innovation and renovation.

We believe that literacy is the cornerstone of all sustainable societies and the key to break the poverty cycle. We also believe in the dreams of the children. It is our duty to make sure that public education has a fair share class with the needed material. A solid education opens up more paths that one's life can take. It creates opportunities and the ability to seize those opportunities.

Education is a human right and not a privilege.
